Upper West Side 1975
It was the mid 70’s, I was a teenager attending the High School of Music & Art in New York City. I don’t even remember how I ended up with a 35mm Nikkormat camera. For a few years, I roamed my neighborhood, the Upper West Side of Manhattan with camera in hand. In the end, I shot about 30 rolls of film, mostly black & white Tri-x, plus a few rolls of color slide film. It would be 21 years until I picked up a proper camera again. Ironically, I have been making my living taking photographs since 1998. Full circle I suppose.
